A Lancashire family nursery
Our nursery story is a family one. Across three generations, working with plants has meant understanding how they grow, recognising what they need and knowing that good results depend on the details. That experience shapes how we approach the nursery today, from the plants in our growing areas to a conversation with someone ordering their first garden hedge.
We value the practical knowledge that comes from years of nursery work. Traditional skills still have a place alongside a straightforward online shop: look closely at the plant, understand the conditions and give it the care it needs. The aim is healthy stock and honest guidance, whether you are planting a short front boundary or ordering for a much larger site.
Growing under cover and in the open
Our Lancashire nurseries include enclosed growing areas and open nursery space. These give us different settings in which to care for plants through the changing seasons. Nursery growing is patient work. Roots, foliage and new growth respond to temperature, light and moisture, and the right conditions matter more than trying to hurry a plant along.
We are proud to offer British-grown plants and hedges. Our range brings together native hedging species, familiar garden evergreens and ornamental shrubs. Each has its own growing needs, character and place in a planting scheme.

A hedge that suits the garden
Garden hedges do several jobs. They can mark a boundary, provide privacy, give a garden structure or create a backdrop for flowers. The useful question is which plant will do that job in the space you have. A broad-leaved laurel, a clipped yew and a tall conifer make very different hedges, even when you buy them at a similar starting height.
Our range brings together evergreen hedging, conifers and garden shrubs, with sizes and quantities to compare before you order. Look at the eventual width, the soil and light, and how much trimming you can manage. For a long run, choosing the right spacing and starting size is just as important as comparing the price per plant.

Good service starts with a useful answer
We take pride in excellent customer service. Sometimes that means explaining two pot sizes; sometimes it means helping a customer think through a difficult boundary before they choose a species. You should be able to ask a practical question and get a clear answer without being rushed into an unsuitable purchase.
Call us on 0333 533 0162 if you would like help. Your planting length, the height you want to maintain and the delivery postcode are useful starting points. Tell us about shade, exposed ground or a narrow planting strip too. For business and landscape orders, our sector guides cover the decisions that are often specific to those sites.
From our nursery to your planting site
Fast delivery matters when you are getting a garden ready, and we work to get orders on their way promptly. Check the product details and delivery information for the service available to your postcode. Selected products include free UK delivery, subject to the delivery area and exclusions set out in our policy.
Once your plants arrive, unpack them promptly and check their condition. Keep the roots moist while you prepare the site, and make watering part of your plan for the first growing season. Our planting and aftercare guides stay available after your order, with practical steps to help you look after the hedge as it establishes.
